ATLANTA, Ga. – With the launch of Atlanta Esports Camiseta Tigres UANL Alliance, the Atlanta sports Council hopes to attract even much more esports and gaming events to the region.
Atlanta is already home to a number of esports teams, including the Atlanta Reign, Hawks Talon, Atlanta FaZe, Hi-Rez Studios, Blue Mammoth, Scuf Gaming and ELEAGUE, but the Atlanta Esports alliance plans to bring “new opportunities for teams, Camiseta Watford FC tournaments, venues and esports service companies and partners” to the metro Atlanta region.
Atlanta Esports alliance has appointed Bas Bruinekool, director of global festivals and vice-president of DreamHack, as an honorary board member.
“It is really amazing to see how far the esports and video
game industry has come because the beginning of DreamHack 25 years ago,”
Bruinekool said in a news release.
“Our goal is to continue being forward thinking,” said Dan Corso, president of Atlanta sports Council.
“As we look ahead to the next decade,
esports is going to continue to dominate the sports industry, and it was
important for us as an organization to cement Atlanta as the capital of esports
and use this platform as yet another economic driver.”
Todd Harris, CEO of Skillshot Media, added that: “… we have the venues and infrastructure required to host Camiseta US Sassuolo major events plus all the elements distinct to the esports ecosystem: local game publishers, tournament organizers, over a dozen salaried professional esports teams and, many importantly, a community that games.”
